Conneaut Lake Concerts
Whether it is an outdoor or indoor concert, you can always find something going on in the town. It is a great way to spend time with friends or just sit back and relax. Various music genres are offered, so there is something for everyone. The concerts are well attended by locals as well as tourists. If you are planning to attend a concert, then you can get tickets online or at the venue itself.
In addition to concerts, there are a number of other events that occur in the town. There are also many restaurants, hotels, and shops located in the area. In addition, there is a golf course, parks, and other recreational activities that are available. There are also several places to take a scenic boat ride around the lake.
The borough has recently been awarded “Heritage Community” status by the PA Route 6 Alliance, which recognizes communities that are working to preserve and promote their heritage tourism assets and activities. Conneaut Lake was selected to receive this recognition because of its efforts to develop and implement a plan for heritage tourism development that will enhance the economic vitality of its local community.
At a recent Borough Council meeting, the members voted to approve an application for a $1 million grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to support the CLCDC-led revitalization of Water Street and Fireman’s Beach. The EDA grant is to be used in conjunction with other funds that are already secured by the borough for these projects.
This is just one of the ways the borough is working to improve its infrastructure and bring new life to the downtown area. Plans are already in place for a revitalization project to begin this spring that will focus on Water Street from First to Fourth streets, with construction expected to be completed before summer. A third bid package that will include the Fireman’s Beach portion of the project is expected to go out this week pending final legal and survey work.
